Change graphics on a pre-built PC
-
From what I can see, you can only mount a low-profile graphics card… that is, you would have to look for a "powerful" model in a low profile.
The truth is that this equipment is quite limited by that case, although the micro and memory are not bad, obviously it is not the best but it can defend itself.Greetings!!
P.D: For example the HD6670 low-profile could work, I don't know if there is a more powerful one with that profile.
I have a GT430 in my HTPC, which practically has a similar micro… although I know there are low-profile GT440s. -
Does that mean I'm screwed? Could you recommend a model that my PC can accept? I looked around for an NVIDIA, I think the 220, but it didn't seem very good. -
In AMD/ATI, apparently the most powerful low-profile is the HD6570
-

This is a mess, but better than a GT210 (an 8400GS practically), these could work for you:
ALTERNATE - HARDWARE - Graphics cards - NVIDIA PCIe cards - Geforce G/GT - Palit GeForce GT440
ALTERNATE - HARDWARE - Graphics cards - ATI/AMD PCIe cards - Radeon HD6000 - SAPPHIRE HD6670
-
in AMD/ATI apparently the most powerful in low profile is the HD6570
There are also the 6670, but I don't know what performance differences they will have…
-

It's priced pretty well, right? Click
But as for features, I'm not sure if it could fit well in my PC, I would have to check the size carefully, but I don't know much about the rest…
What I don't understand is why on amazon the 2GB one is 40 cents cheaper than the 1GB one, maybe because of x features?
And comparing the price with the one you mentioned above (the other Sapphire one) it's cheaper...Oh by the way, I wanted to say that you guys are awesome, it's clear that you know what you're talking about
-
that one had passed me by, that's what happens when you rely on thumbnail photos xD
I had the same problem, until I looked a bit more :risitas:
Anyway, I think they will yield something less than a 9800GT approx. If I remember correctly Sparkle had a low profile GTS250, but it came somewhat capped in power…
Anyway, it's just that BF3 doesn't ask for much processing, but graphics yes...and 4GB of memory are not bad, but well. That's what you get with pre-made computers and on top of that in a slim case

Sorry for not wanting to experiment, but if I barely understand now, a year and a half ago I was clueless lol

Be careful, I think that this computer won't use normal ATX power supplies, so none of the ones you've listed would work.
Here you have more specific data about the computer:
and here from the power supply it mounts:
http://www.cputopia.com/psu-replace-300-slim-hphp-s5212es.html
Now, the power supply has 80plus certificate, so it's more or less like the one in my computer, and I have an i3 2100 (previously an E5300) and a Radeon 5670 without any problems. So the most powerful thing you can mount is a 6670/5670, but of course, it has to be slim.
-
http://www.cputopia.com/psu-replace-300-slim-hphp-s5212es.html
It comes out quite cheap to change the case for a cheap one and that way you can put a decent graphics card and a decent source in it, because it seems to me that even if it comes just right, it's 300W and that in the long run is going to limit the equipment.
With a new case you would run out of limitations when it comes to expanding components.Greetings

The thing is, a case change wouldn't mean that some of the components I have wouldn't fit? Because I'm serious, if I can get a case that's not too expensive, the 650W power supply for 47€ that I saw, and a graphics card for about 100€ to play, wouldn't there be any problem?
What hardware would you recommend for me? For the power supply I would choose the one I put in a previous post (not the OCZ, the other one)
Keep in mind that the disc burner is on the side, I don't think it would be a problem to change its position, right? -
That computer with an E7500, a 5650 and that 80plus power supply doesn't reach 100w of consumption while gaming. I have one of those meters that you plug into the outlet and the only one that reached those 100w (maybe peaks of 110w) was with the E2160 + HD5570 + chieftech power supply without 80 plus certification, that was while playing WoW.

Changing the position of the recorder means absolutely nothing, everyone carries it horizontally, you don't have to worry.
The source you put wouldn't be bad, although for me the OCZ of 650W is more reliable (I have the same but of 500W)
If you change the case for a cheap one (look at the format, don't worry that later you won't fit something not because of the width but because of the height) you could already put the first graphics card that I mentioned to you at the beginning, and with that you would gain a little in every way, at least that's what I would do in your situation if I weren't going to spend a lot of money.Greetings

Little by little we are reaching a conclusion. So regarding the tower so as not to make a mistake you say that it should be an ATX right?
What do you think about this?
