Bueno, ya me respondo yo mismo:
al parecer la sonda térmica hacía de resistencia variable ya que según la temperatura (+ temperatura, + voltaje) aumentaba o reducía las revoluciones
comprobé que al cortar la sonda el ventilador giraba a las mínimas revoluciones (1150 creo), el micro subió de 36 a 40 grados estables como resultado. luego hice un puente con los cables originales de la sonda y tachán, al arrancar pedazo de turbina de ventilador, nunca lo había visto girar así de rápido, y en efecto, iba a 2700 rpm y la temperatura de la placa en idle se estabilizó a 29º
de esto puedo sacar algo bueno, puedo usar esos dos cables de la sonda para conectarlo a un potenciómetro manual sin meterle mano al molex principal y así mantengo monitorizadas por software las rpms mientras regulo manualmente el voltaje (aunque se que tambien se hubiera podido hacer sin los cables de la sonda, pero así resulta más limpio).
Por cierto el ventilador es este y lo tengo montado en un Thermalright SP97, para matizar las temperaturas.
