@cobito said in Microsoft: "Yes, I understand you":

It wouldn't surprise me if those same companies collected conversations to "offer us the best deals".

    Do you doubt it?
The fact that the voice assistant is activated by a "keyword" only means that it is already listening and waiting for your orders. That it only responds when you say the keyword does not mean that it is not collecting previous conversations... although, of course, they will not tell you that happily.

I remember using that tool a lot in Windows 3.1 (for me, the discovery of ctrl+c, ctrl+v was one of the greatest of my life), especially when my parents bought the Multimedia VOX in 96 and the teachers still didn't say that "don't copy from Encarta or I'll catch you". Ays! Those were great times for the laziest.

Nowadays I use Klipper, the tool for this purpose in KDE and I find it quite useful since I have it configured to save the last 100 copies. So I can make consecutive copies of different things without having to keep copying continuously.

I see a lot of complaints with the update. I thought I was doing well until I threw myself into playing the car simulator. My Oculus sensor and steering wheel failed me. If I can't get it to work I have a picture that pulls but, I lose things and, to make matters worse, I've had about 4 or 5 shutdowns where W10 tried to install the update but failed.

I'M PISSED AT YOU MOCKERS MOCOSOFT. I've tried several things and I came from a bug with The Witcher 3 that made me lose an hour.

    DAMNED HACKERS :wall:

Editing: Well, the sensor has been reinstalled and the steering wheel buttons have been reassigned. It wasn't that big of a deal.

I wonder how many thousands of amateur users are pulling their hair out right now :ugly:

In the wizard because there's a mod to mess with the console that would otherwise mess up my game. It wouldn't take me out of combat in a closed room where I had to jump and if you're in a fight instead of jumping you spin.

On the one hand, there may be games that come out only for DX12 (W10), although for the moment I don't think that will happen.

On the other hand, there are small differences in the handling of user folders, which can screw up the issue of saving games, or even for the issue of online profile.

And on the other hand, surely you can find crappy games that put the W10 thing to seem more modern, although for real software requirements, they can run on Windows XP (DX9).

    Salu2!

    @Nemo:

Check the network discovery and file sharing settings in the Network and Sharing Center.
Turning on the visibility of computers and files between computers on your local network makes it easier for them to connect automatically.

    Well, here's a prize for you ?
    That's it …

    Here's a picture

It was about activating the file sharing theme and that's it …

Thank you very much for your interest.
It could be what you say, I don't know….
I already told you, it works on the local network, but not outside, no external calls.
Maybe it's a port, I don't know, but how do I know which port?

In the range of ports you gave me (16384-32768) maybe that's the problem, this range is not allowed by the router because some are occupied.
I also tried to activate the DMZ but nothing, it doesn't work.

Let's see if someone around here can shed some light or knows a manual, or script or whatever, that clarifies something.
Thank you very much for everything.

Waiting for the patch to fix the mess from Microsoft, an unofficial solution to the problem has been published:
    (WccfTech's cut-paste)
    • First, run the registry editor. ("Win+R", type regedit and press "Enter")
    • Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows Media Foundation > Platform.
    • Inside Platform we right-click to access the New menu and select DWORD Value (32-bit)
    • Name the value as EnableFrameServerMode and give it a value of 0.

From here it's only for the 64-bit version of Windows.

    • Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > WOW6432Node > Microsoft > Windows Media Foundation > Platform
    • Just like before, we add a DWORD value and name it EnableFrameServerMode and give it a value of 0.

Once we restart, we should be able to access our cameras normally.

  • Reinstall W10 without "bloatware"

I have a question, why do you want Windows 10 to do everything you mentioned?

It also depends a lot on how the video is embedded on the web. You may not even need any program to do it.

Maybe if you search in the code of the page you can access the URL from where the video is linked. This can be achieved by accessing the code inspector from the browser (with F12 or by right-clicking and selecting "view page source") and searching for the video URL to run it in an independent window and do a "Save as…" to download the video.

    Best regards

The same is that there really isn't a clean and direct way to do it, hehe. I'll keep looking and if I find a better way to do it I'll mention it here.

I have also been able to see that the new W7 installations do not update until you turn off that computer at least once. And then if it is on automatic, it does it in batches.

And if you try to force it, it keeps searching indefinitely

I am glad that in the end you were able to solve it.

    Regards!
