That said, you have to be careful because many attempts can lead to the surprise that completely damaged CUs are enabled. The trick is supposedly in the place they occupy in each "engine" and if they are the last ones disabled, it is assumed that they are good and that they have been disabled to create products like the Fury, etc. But beware, while it is a good indication of defective CUs that the disabled ones are in the middle of an "engine" (battery of CUs that work in the same block), there is also the possibility that we enable some of the last ones blocked and that they are also defective. So it's better to have a spare BIOS, dual BIOS is better than better.

It seems to me that a good seller would assure that "it will work for all the games that exist and that will come out", especially by mounting a 2 GB graphics card in a set without the possibility of upgrading it. This would refer to browser games.

The team proposed by Sylver is what is usually recommended, and believe me that it is a very balanced configuration and that if necessary you can squeeze it with some OC, which improves its amortization.
If it is due to distrust of buying on the internet, in my case this team I bought it by pieces and they assembled it for me, and the truth is that I am very satisfied.

In any case, the decision is yours

    @juajuajuajuanra:

Perfect, so then I think I'm going to wait for the moment. Maybe I'll even look for a second-hand 960 if I see one around to keep going. I'm blown away, not only does it get 25%-33% out of the 580 (normal) but an SLI 960 takes on a 980. So it's better to wait for the high-end for real as you say.

    Thanks!!!

    In fact, a gtx960 I think is equivalent to a gtx670.

    Hello

Well, I would put the typical Accelero Xtreme on it, one of its variants that you see is compatible with the graphics in the specifications (and that you find for sale out there). They rotate around 60€, up and down.

For example, the Plus and Plus II go with your graphics, which I have seen several:

If I remember correctly, I have it set up as follows (I'm at work).

The graphics card has several connectors (hdmi, vga and DVi), the large monitor is connected via hdmi and the other monitor (old) is connected via vga to the same graphics card and I move applications from one screen to another as if it were an extension of the same.

Maybe it's not the right way but it works for me.

I hope I have helped you.

    Hello,

    I also have a 7990.
With GTA I noticed that one of the two Malta cores reached almost 100º and the cooling of the whole system was practically saturated.
To try to correct it, I activated the Overdrive technology in the Catalyst drivers and lowered the 'power limit' to -14%. From there, one core usually stays above 85º and the other at 75º and I can continue playing at a resolution of 6124x1080. You can adjust the overdrive values to your liking, in the end I have left the limit at -11%, with a little overclock.
It all depends on the cooling set you have, but I think modifying that value could help you.

You will let me know, I hope it can be useful for this or other games!

    Best regards!

Well, I think like the colleagues…
Big CPU, the most you can afford
16Gb... those Snipers are a joke
SSD... for the operative at least..

The graphics???... There we have the crux of the matter
I, personally... the least powerful. Save there and spend it on CPU, RAM or motherboard...
If it's only Photoshop... WATCH OUT....
Although there are many plugins that use CUDA if available, 99% of mortals don't use it...

The video issue is "different". The graphics acceleration is important for certain things... and here I give you my assessment due to my experience...

Premiere (I don't know if the rest of the programs do it) takes advantage of CUDA and OpenCL. Although there are "official" cards for that, any will do...
They had always said that CUDA was better than OpenCL... I think the opposite. The truth is that CUDA was better because it was the ONLY one before OpenCL.

The reality... My reality. My equipment is a q6600 with 6Gb of DDR2 ram. A job that took my CPU more than 8 hours to encode... a "humble" ATI 5850 took an hour and a half in OpenCL....
For a special job I was able to buy a card with decent CUDA. I'm talking about a GTX 760 of 2gb.
The same job took almost two hours and a quarter :wall::wall:

What do I mean by this???.... that if you buy an NVIDIA graphics card with many CUDA cores you will have good acceleration in that regard... but get into more than 300 € of graphics... when an ATI 5850 is going to do the same for about 60 € on the high side second-hand
Looking at the new ATIs... I would go for an 7950 before a low R9

Anyway, I hope to be of help.
    Regards

Hey! I've been offered this card for 50 euros, the Asus Nvidia 550 TI gddr5 memory, nvidia® physx®, nvidia® cuda™ technology hdmi 1. 4, prepared for 3d, cuda cores 192 graphics clock (mhz) 900 processor clock (mhz) 1800 Right now I can't pay more than 100 euros and these are 50 and it doesn't look bad because of the CUDA thing and all that, I think I mentioned that I edit gopro videos of 1080 and I also reduce the 2.7 to 1080+semi-professional plugins like mojo, colorista… bla bla bla! Merci!

    @migue30:

If it's true I think it would be worth the effort. It would have a graph for years.
As for the power supply suitable for that card, would 550w be enough? If I put the amd fx8320… The beast eats watts...

Do you already have the power supply?
If you have to buy it I would go for a 650W one, especially if you want to OC the graphics card and the fx8320, if the 550W one is good then it should be enough, although if you do OC it's always better to have a more powerful power supply.

according to the graphics card it seems to ask for 500W, but it's always better to have something more and especially if you do OC to the graphics card and the processor.

    regards
