If it's any consolation, look for higher voltages and they will work. Even if they are a bit bigger. Here in Las Palmas I have an electronics/components store that is reliable and usually brings them from Japan. Although 4v is not a standard voltage, it is usually 6.5v which would work perfectly for you.

Well yes, we want photos!! ?
I like both, but something more MSI. The only time I used ASUS warranty with a second-hand HD4850, PCcomponentes replaced it with an MSI.
Just today a coworker gave me a GTX1060 3GB MSI, let's see if I can plug it in and test it out!

500€ is still a quarter of a car, in fact I shouldn't even pick up the 470, but let's see how much carpe diem I assume this Christmas ?

Great deal on that Kia from what I see ? I hope to get something similar, although I have a little less budget and the intention that it be a lighter as wide as possible ?

I've read about these models, and it seems that the best one is sold as 2070OC, which is similar to the 2080 and 2080ti. The truth is that I don't understand any of this. And from what I've been reading, it's not that much better the OC compared to the normal one. I think it improves temperatures a bit, but seeing the deaths of the 2080s, it's better to stop being silly. Because it seems to be due to high temperatures of the GPU, which as they use the same heatsink, end up dragging the memories. The solution that some seem to have found is to lower the speed of the memories. Strong solution.

@namiga said in Motherboards and Multiple GPUs?:

    Very good....
I was wondering if, really, any motherboard can support multiple GPUs.

My idea is not for gaming or mining BTC, but to return to Seti@Home

I am reading and I see that people use almost the same as for mining BTC, ethereum, LTC... t all resides on an Asrock BTC rev 2.0 (board with multiple PCIE X1...

The question is, if I wanted (which I want ? ) to make a machine for Seti@home with multiple GPUs... would I need by all means a board like this??? Or would a board with 3 PCIEx1 and a PCIx16... that is... a normal board... be enough?...

    Best regards

They use the Asrock BTC because it has 7 pcie slots, so it depends on the number of graphics cards you want to mount for the SETI. If you want to mount a couple then a normal board will serve you, it all depends on the number of cards you want. As it's not for 3D, only for raw calculation, with the 1x interface there is enough bandwidth for the task. On the other hand if you wanted to mount a render farm or similar where there is intensive 3D use you would need more bandwidth than what the 1x channel provides.

Of course, temperatures - the biggest "enemy" of the GPU and other components.
100% load and 64-67º - are very good temperatures. Going over 74º - that's when you should start to worry.
You can lower the temperatures by limiting the frames per second (FPS): you limit it, for example, to 30-40FPS and everything is perfect, only the gaming experience at +/-30FPS is not the most pleasant, unfortunately. But you get good temperatures

@kynes said in What the hell is going on with AMD's graphics stock? No RX560, no RX570, no RX580:

It seems that according to the president of AMD, they are increasing production smoothly, they don't want the market to be flooded with second-hand cards after a mining crash or a change in algorithm and preferred card, which would eat up a huge stock of new cards without selling. In Asia, they released mining cards without video output, but not even that worked.

Well, it makes sense, and their solution of releasing cards without video output, if they release them a bit cheaper, that's also good, but of course, they should release enough to cover the mining market, otherwise they will continue to buy the regular ones... ?

Now it is rumored that AMD is losing $100 for every Vega 64 sold with a wholesale price of $500. The reasons would be the encapsulation costs and the HBM2 memory. The extra costs of the latter could be solved when Hynix starts up its plant in October.

Hello! Unfortunately my graphics card died this Sunday, luckily I was able to recover the money: 140€.

Did it only last you 8 months? Well that was a bad one ?

Regarding the ones you put, personally I would save up waiting for AMD to continue releasing models and prices to drop a bit, or I would stretch to get a GTX1060 even if it's 3GB.

    See you later!

I really like that case. I'm tired of my tower with some 5.25" bays that I no longer need. This one seems quite spacious even to put in graphics cards that are more or less big. Let's see if I finally decide to upgrade, I really need it.

By the way, I've uploaded the images to the forum server, so there's no risk that they will disappear over time.

Ok, I've put links to the rest of the photos in each part, if you want you can upload them too.

Yes, a hassle because it was not very expensive, and in the end I had to mount the 1050 GTX TI which cost almost 50% more, when the RX460 was enough for my friend. That's right, until the image froze, my friend's computer was still alive.

I had thought about upgrading my AMD 7950 with an AMD RX480 but after seeing this, I lost the desire... so for the little I play, I will continue with the old one. Total right now I have "Zero" games installed... that's what age does... I like to play less and less.

You have a good processor, don't worry. In some very CPU-dependent games, a better micro would be appreciated, but don't obsess over the bottleneck, buy the graphics card you want and enjoy it.

As an example, I have put together a friend with an Nvidia 1050 GTX TI graphics card. My friend with a micro much inferior to yours like the Intel Q9650 now plays WOW very fluidly in Full HD. It has given a few more years of life to a platform with almost 10 years behind it... so imagine with a more powerful micro like yours what a modern graphics card can do.
