    To me, the AMD 480 seems like a correct graphics card for the price it has. It's also true that I think the model that's worth it is the 4 Gigas, not the 8 if you play in Full HD and not at higher resolution. When the 4 Gigas model with a good cooler comes out, it will be an appetizing graphics card, for those who want a decent graphics card, without being a top of the range, that is not extremely expensive.

    There are people who complain that say the 480 is not for that much, I suppose it's the people who had an Nvidia 970 GTX that before they sold it second-hand for 300€ and now they can't sell it for 200€ (in hard2mano it's like that) or the people who like monopolies, because for me the new Nvidia range is not that expensive, it's the price that is insulting. Even the price of the 1060 can be high and exceed 300€ by much.

    The price of the 1080 seems brutal to me and the 1070's too. Unless you are a super gamer and have money to spare (mind you, I don't criticize anyone who spends that on a graphics card, everyone can do what they want with their money). But I remember other Nvidia top of the range that were worth about half of what they are worth now, and not so many years ago.

    By the way, the 1060 is rumored to come capped to mount SLI, not to mention that they will be 3 or 6 Gigas models. 3 Gigas in some games may be short, and 6... we'll have to see the surcharge.

    I miss the time when you could buy a graphics card in this range for 200€ or less, not to mention the 1080-1070 that for what they are worth you can build a great gaming PC.

    Not so many years ago, if you remember, AMD models were sold, the 5850 Xtreme in PC components refurbished model, for about 90-100€. It was a marvel to spend that money and know that you had a decent graphics card for current games. It wasn't a powerhouse, but for that price it turned out to be super appetizing. Today there are no such deals.

    In summary, competition is good. AMD had graphics cards similar to the 970 GTX at slightly lower prices. Now they have released a similar graphics card, that consumes less and is cheaper. Well, I think it's not bad at all. When new models come out, I suppose they will put two power connectors on some, to avoid current problems, they will put decent fans and not the turbine one, and we will have to see if the surcharge of the 1060 over the 480 is worth it.

    Thanks Kernel 1.0

    I'm starting to understand a bit more.

    The motherboard has an integrated graphics card with 1 GB of RAM that is not deducted from the main RAM. Of which 64 MB is cache memory. Cache memory of the integrated graphics card apparently.

    The wording of the 64 MB in the English and German manual of the motherboard still isn't clear to me.

    As it also comes in the Chinese manual, we will have to interpret that it is not exactly a typo...

    @wwwendigo:

    It seems incredible that they continue with the same broken record, Fassou, instead of calling people who try to counter such poor reasoning, with this program, labeling them as anti-AMD, one should wonder if you are the anti-nvidia.

    Because honestly, the argument is childish, or you don't know how enormously outdated it already is and the explanations that were given about what was happening with that quick test created by a user, or you do it on purpose.

    I'm going to think it's the former, that you are very uninformed about this case, but coming with the same broken record of the 3.5 GB of VRAM with the GTX 970, it's getting tiring. I'm tired of seeing how the last 512 MB of VRAM is used on this card without any problems in performance, to see the latest re-release of the latest Jordie Dan album, computer version.

    I'll answer you by allusions.

    It's one thing for that program, which I neither know nor use, not to be the appropriate way to demonstrate performance problems in the memory of a graphics card, and quite another to deny that nVIDIA lied about the specifications of their GTX970 graphics card, until it was found that they were being sued for it.

    The first meme talks about problems. And if they lied about the product's characteristics, there are undoubtedly problems, and the second is the last image from a promotional video by AMD itself, "encouraging" owners of GTX970 graphics cards who had just received confirmation from several assemblers and distributors that they could return them, to do so in order to buy a Radeon R290X.

    Obviously you are free to think whatever you want, which includes thinking if I like nVIDIA, AMD, Intel, Hacendado, or whatever company you think of more.

    For that price, the one who sells it to me has to come to my house, assemble it and make it work, only then do I pay him.

    …that smells fishy to me, come on.

    So then, it's time to buy a 960 GTX or an older one second-hand. Although Nvidia "sabotages" and I put it in quotes, their graphics cards from several generations ago, which performed very well a few years ago, suddenly don't perform as well anymore; while AMD cards from several generations ago like the 7950 - 7970, without being cucumbers today, still perform well.

    And yes, the 960 GTX range is not that I say it's bad, but for me it has an excessive price in relation to what it performs.

    Basically between the Asus that you mentioned first, the Gigabyte G1 and the MSI twin force the differences are few, choose the one you find cheaper of these three. Of the others but of the same brand, for example the 2x of msi, they change the materials that are a little worse and that do not have a backplate, which is a surface that makes the graphics card more robust. Since you are going to spend money on a 970 I would look at the first three for the quality of materials.

    @koba:

    Cpu temperature reaches up to 68º in full performance, maybe too much? if so, I would put a new heatsink on it, but what orientation would I give it… :eoh:

    Surely the cpu is "eating all the heat from the graphics", or so I think.

    First… 68ºC on the CPU is nothing... it could perfectly be working for years without stopping at 90ºC and it wouldn't give a single problem because the micro starts to suffer from 100ºC... so forget about the CPU.

    As for who eats the heat that doesn't matter... the case must be well ventilated and should never exceed 40ºC inside (in case you wonder, these are the manufacturer's specifications).

    That is, you must have an input/output flow that introduces cold air and takes out all the heat generated.

    The greater that flow is, the closer to the ambient temperature the inside of your case will be.

    If the case is not well designed, it helps to improve efficiency by putting fans inside as Fassou has told you, although it is a noisy solution and I don't like it.

    According to San Google, your power supply is a generic Chinese one that you can find under brands like Kelyx, but although almost everyone will tell you to change it, if you are on a very tight budget and it hasn't given you any trouble so far, you can keep it <:(

    Since your platform is quite old, the ideal thing is a second-hand graphics card, to avoid compatibility problems.

    If you don't want / can't change the font, you can take a look at the link below, where the necessary powers and connectors are listed for different models of graphics cards (look for the ones that ask for less than 400W and from the AMD HD5000 and nVIDIA GT500 generations or older).

    PSU REQUIREMENTS - RealHardTechX

    If you can change the power supply, you wouldn't have any problems to be able to return the graphics card if it doesn't work well, or simply you are looking for the best quality / price ratio, the recommendation of whoololon is the usual one for these cases, a GTX750 and enjoy ?

    I for one don't appreciate the difference… I see the same thing as with the other test... almost the same just that it lasts half an hour less.

    What is clear is that the GPU lowers the speed for something but without a temperature log it's impossible to know what it is.

    Besides if OCCT doesn't fry the PSU it's not and the CPU doesn't either because it doesn't reach strange temperatures or lower the speed.

    If anything you can try OCCT only in "GPU: 3D" mode... it's the same but it will focus on the GPU.

    It's to see if in this case the GPU speeds drop even more or compared to the PSU test I see any difference.

    I recommend at least half an hour of testing both with the case closed and open... that is two GPU tests.

    You'll have to tell me.

    What are you going to play? maybe you don't need a 970

    I recently got an alienware with a GTX960 2Gb. I've been playing Witcher 3 and GTA 5 without any problem at 1080p. you won't play at ultra but at high…

    Where is the war?
    If they split the pie, all to avoid coinciding in their releases, one comes out 6 months before and then the other, so the cards don't drop in price.
    The thing with those shaders, well, we'll see, because it's been many times that if Dx10.1 would be incredible and it was worth nothing, then Dx11 that if one wouldn't have hardware tessellation, then we moved to Mantle and some German said up to 600%, I don't know what he smoked, the draw calls and now it seems that it's the SA's turn so until I see it I don't believe it, because it's been many times.

    For my part, I wish things would change a bit and they would really compete because right now they are both making fun of us, I think they are more in cahoots than they try to appear.

    @Kernel1.0:

    Man, they put games that require good graphics there to illustrate :-P.
    On paper it looks very good and it's all about taking advantage of hardware that wasn't being used. Zero monetary cost, for the user, hence the lack of interest, I suppose.
    Integrated graphics have been mediocre for a long time, it's time to take advantage of them.

    This is true, I bought a Dell with integrated graphics 3 months ago and I must say I'm not complaining.
