There I was, I'm not used to brands releasing unsigned drivers, maybe it could be because it's a "smaller" brand.

@defaultuser I don't know the resources you need for that kind of programming, but I use virtual machines on my laptop (Dell XPS 9360) which has an i5 7200U, 8 GB and 256 GB NMVe SSD and it runs smoothly.
I think an i5 would be fine, although if you want a laptop that won't let you down in 3 or 4 years, you know that the best thing is to go long...as long as you have the budget, of course.

Particularmente voy a lo que mejor me funciona. Yo, configuración AMD para CPU sí, pero prefiero nVidia para la gráfica por el tema de Linux. Así que todos contentos.

El caso es que yo con eSATA soy feliz para discos y no se me ocurre otro dispositivo externo de rendimiento, las tarjetas para trabajar con audio van serivdas con USB 2 y firewire, si necesitaran más no me cabrían en la mano los modelos firewire 800. Si a caso para volcar de una CAM FullHD aunque la verdad es que dudo que acabe teniendo una de éstas, nunca he sido de vídeos ni fotos si quiera. Pues seguro que tenéis razón y aún nos queda para que se empiece a ver por ahí aparatos USB 3 (voto por carcasas de disco de lo primero :risitas: ) pero, si se necesitan puertos se compra una controladora y arreando, no creo que mejoren mucho con el tiempo, pesa más el protocolo que otra cosa y este es de lo más compatible que hay, he visto muchos más problemas con firewire o LAN.

Hombre, con la placa que usan estos señores me costaria bastante menos, si mal no recuerdo era una M2N32 sli Deluxe y la mia es una ga m57 sli, el circuito VRM de esa placa es un cacho mejor que el mio. Salu2.

Parece que son versiones de evaluacion, En algunas paginas las definen como que permiten mas oc en el htt pero nada mas, seran talvez para demostraciones y competiciones de overclock? esta en concreto es beta claramente por la coletilla "b" pero hay otras versiones para la misma placa sin la "b" , no tiene mucha pinta de ser un servidor para betatesters, parecen mas bien variaciones de la bios oficial con acceso a nuevas opciones (background scrubber) o la virtualizacion desactivada y no modificable por ejemplo.Saludos. @Namiga: Esto ya me parece lo mas absurdo del mundo …. A la gente ya se les olvido aquellos tiempos en los que las placas base tenian 5 slots PCI ??? Que se puede comprar hoy en día para ampliar el PC en slot PCIexpress x1 ???, por que yo no conozco muchas placas .... alguna de TDT y alguna de expansion de puertos .... Por cierto, quien va a ser el "guapo" que meta tantas graficas ??' .. y para que ??? La placa en cuestion no tiene especial interes para cualquiera de nosotros (a no ser que alguno tenga una empresa de ingenieria o sea cientifico). Lo del PCIe 1x ?, se entiende que la placa tiene 7 ranuras a por lo menos 8x y ninguna mas, y siendo que incorpora dos chips SLI bridge NF200 igual hasta son todas a 16x.
