Esos dell que tú tienes podrían ser Northwood, que se calientan mucho menos que los Prescott. Además, puede ser perfectamente (no sería la primera vez que lo veo) que la refrigeración sea insuficiente y que al calentarse mucho bajen de velocidad (como lo hacen todos los P4). No te fíes de ningún pc que no puedas ver por dentro o sepas como está puesto exactamente. Milagros no existen.
A mi me pasó una vez, un amigo se compró un Pentium 4 Northwood 3.0 y me dijo: "mi ordenador no tiene ventiladores de caja, es super silencioso y no me da problemas de temperatura". Yo alucinando, o tenía RL o aquello no podía ser. Total, que al poco tiempo salió el Far Cry, él tenía una "flamante" nvidia 5800 (creo que era esta tarjeta) y fui a su casa a instalarlo y echar unos vicios (no, no sabe mucho de informática, ni siquiera instalar un juego), el juego andaba demasiado mal, incluso para esa tarjeta. Así que pensé que era eso, que la cpu estaba demasiado caliente, total, que abrimos la caja sale un airecillo calentito y al poco rato todo iba el doble de bien. Yo me descojoné vivo (él con una cara de cabreo…), le instalé un ventilador de 8cm sacando aire y ahora tiene un ordenador ruidosillo (el venti va a más de 3000rpm) pero que rinde bastante más.
