In the end it seems it was a problem with the SATA cable that I had as a spare, I changed it and now it reads all the sectors at the correct speed and all are fine after analyzing them all day.

I only use this disk for data, I have the OS on the SSD, but it was booting very slowly, it didn't stop reading the disk I suppose because of the bad contact it was making, I don't really know.

I only wanted to use HDD Regenerator to check for bad sectors not to repair them because if I got a bad sector I would just send it back.

Now I will transfer all the data to this disk and hope there are no more problems. :rollani:

Regards and thanks for your help! ?

It is curious because I did not think about it at any time despite the fact that in the living room PC I have something similar, only that the mouse I usually use is wireless and the wired one I have set aside in a corner of the table in case the other runs out of batteries at a given moment to get by (and by the way, it is a ball mouse!! :ugly:) ¡Saludos!

Man, given the prices of SSDs now, and if you don't expect miracles, you can try to see if the performance increases, but as Sylver says, you're not going to scratch much.
That said, look for a cheap one, it doesn't matter if it's a v200 or v300, get the cheapest one and at least 128gb.

I am a keyboard and mouse person, I am comfortable on the desktop.

The only game that has asked for a controller in a loud voice has been Sleeping Dogs but, I have started The Witcher 3 with a controller and I have caught on to it. I played the first one by emulating a PS3 controller, the last one with the One that came with the Oculus.

Aside from PS VS MS preferences: After years with PS, MS is a bit more ergonomic but I don't find the position of the upper triggers comfortable, nor is it a sin if it's a casual button. Now I work wirelessly and I forget about compatibility programs but, I wouldn't have bought it, the cable with PS3 didn't bother me and neither did emulating.

P.D.: If you are on the couch there are gaming gadgets to put a module on top like a small table for keyboard + mouse. The one I saw wasn't cheap (well-known brand that I can't remember, sorry) but maybe they have come out with more affordable copies or you can get your DIY skills out and make something at a good price :ugly:

You may not have enough disk space or you may have very large files. Anyway, 1% fragmentation is nothing.

Well, the cable gauges for low-voltage installations are standardized and there is no 2mm². There are 1.5, 2.5, 4, 6…

One option I see for using exactly the cable you need is to buy a made cable and cut it.

I think it's a very interesting concept and the truth is that the "new functions" with respect to classic mice have a place in all kinds of games as seen in the video.

The idea is a good response to what is coming with virtual reality and remote controls using phones and tablets.

Perhaps the disk is limited to 2 GB, some very old bios did not support some capacities even lower than the typical 32 GB.

Computer systems manufactured before October 1998 usually hang or freeze when performing automatic detection of large hard drives during system startup. The usual capacity limitations of BIOS are 528 MB, 2.1 GB, 8.4 GB and 32 GB.

If we rule out that it's a temperature problem, it could be a software or driver issue, but I don't think it's a monitor issue, and if it is, it could be something "normal".

My brother has an LCD monitor that's over 8 years old that goes black for a few seconds when it feels like it, but it's been doing it randomly since day one... it's a monitor fault because other people have it and there's no solution.

Check your model and see if others have the same issue, but unless it's a common occurrence, I maintain that it's not a monitor issue, but rather a graphics or driver issue... for whatever reason.

In any case, to be sure, you can run the test for an hour and then spend 10 minutes checking if the fault is replicated on the monitor... if it's not replicated, you can completely rule out GPU dissipation problems.
