In principle you shouldn't have any problems, although the disks are UATA-100 or 66, there is backward compatibility and these cards don't need drivers, unless you want to set up a RAID.

I suppose you have already noticed that in that controller you can only mount two IDE disks, I would look for one for four disks and if you needed to set up some RAID they would always offer more performance.

    @Bm4n:

What is this, an exam question or what? :ugly:

It doesn't matter, how is it going to affect? You shouldn't do 5-hour sessions, if you do it's better to use a large monitor, keep a distance from the monitor and have good lighting. As for the blue light, there are glasses that filter it to prevent some of the eye strain.

It's something pretty new so it's still expensive, if it works I imagine it will become cheaper and spread to more monitors. Personally, I still don't find anything interesting in TFTs so why spend more when you know that much more interesting monitors are coming out soon. For example, in theory a monitor that would fit you like a glove will be out soon: Acer XB270HU (27" 2560 x 1440, IPS, 144Hz, GSync, USB3).

Another issue is the price but keep in mind that this year things like this will come out (there will be progress in IPS and better resolutions for large monitors) so by 2016 they will be at a reasonable price.

Acer XB270HU = will come out aaaaaa 900 euros I read there, and I can't wait any longer with a 1024x768 monitor Ç=/

I understand that you have bought this, and you need the ACC-2001 or ACC-2002 cables, which integrate two PS/2 connectors and one VGA, into a "rare VGA" connector, which connects to the switch, but that's really the issue.

The "rare VGA" connector can be made however they want, so unless you find the pin diagram of the "rare VGA" to compare with others from other brands, or someone sharing their experience and confirming that ones from another brand will work, you can only find out by buying it

Buying a KVM now, without USB or DVI/HDMI, can be an option for very specific uses, but also using special cables and not including them, is asking for trouble ?

I can see it coming, because the disk is apparently healthy and when you install the game on the SSD you don't have that problem... It could be that the SATA disk you have tried was too old and worked with a lower transfer rate, then it would only make matters worse :ugly: In any case, as long as the disk doesn't give you problems for storage, I would keep that unit exclusively for that purpose, and I would be installing and uninstalling the games progressively from the SSD as you need them, because this way you will get the best gaming experience. Best regards ?

Well, if you have connected another source and the same thing happens, it could be the motherboard.
I have been reading the manual for your motherboard (in pdf), on page 72, confirm the status of "Restore on AC/Power loss" in the BIOS, because it could be that it interprets turning off the switch as a power outage, and pauses when turning on to check that the different voltages are stable.
If that is the case, and it looks like it is, we would be talking about a safety measure rather than a failure.
    You will let us know.

Thanks Fassou, I forgot to mention that I once connected it to a PC and it printed once and the moment it did, I wanted to share it on the network, and I couldn't see it, I think I will have it unplugged all week now and see what we can do, lucky we have an HP LaserJet Color Pro M476. And we got by with it to see what happens with this one, because normally the memory should have already been erased having been disconnected from the power grid all weekend, right?

How about a Raid with two 1Tb drives for gaming + virtual machines + data and the MX100 256Gb for the OS?

In fact, if you distribute the space well, you can put some games on the same SSD along with the OS, which would not be a problem.

    Hello.

I'm sorry for not responding earlier, but work has been keeping me busy at the end of the year.

First of all, I want to thank everyone who has read my post and especially whoololon and Fassou, for their sincere and prompt responses. But I've been puzzled for a few days, let me explain.

This weekend something very strange happened to me. I have a server at home, and out of the blue, on Friday, it reboots and gets stuck. I turn it off, wait a few minutes, and turn it on. Nothing happens. On Saturday, the same thing happens again, but this time it tells me to eject the removable disk, "Eeeeehhh, what disk? If this is a server?". I turn it off, and in a fit of inspiration, I unplug an internal multiple card reader. I turn it on. ¡Voila! It doesn't reboot again. Surprise, the printer works again like a charm:rolleyes:

Anyway, I can't shake the feeling, I'll keep testing and we'll see what happens.

I won't mark the post as solved, as I'll keep adding as the printer evolves, possibly many readers will find the information I provide useful.

    Regards and thanks again.

I have a c70 and I have had many cases, and this is one of the best I have had without going over mid tower it offers a lot of space for both cooling and disks and at the same time keep the wiring tidy, the quality of the materials is excellent as always corsair does a great job.

Knowing which hardware configuration (with models and brands) we are talking about would make things much easier: motherboard, micro, heatsink, ram, gpu, etc.

If it doesn't give you an option, you can manually make the output you need with an app like this: clever technologies - products - clever freeware - Home to DTDCalculator or any other to do overscan that works with intel. Because the graphics should be completely capable of outputting the resolution you need via VGA, the problem is that the driver doesn't give you the option, but for that there are applications, I haven't messed around with CRTs for a long time, I used to use rivatuner. Look for the refresh parameters and values that the CRT needs and create the profile that your TV accepts.

And anyway, PAL is 50hz but you can try NTSC at 60, 55 or 50, which is an easy option to modify. Also check if it supports progressive and if not, try with a resolution in betweenlace. The VGA output allows all that adjustment because it is designed for CRTs not for flat screens, of course, over the years those adjustments have been lost because they are no longer used, before the euroconnector they even had svideo output to connect to TVs (which was of very poor quality).

I was away for a couple of days.

That said, it's not worth going through RMA for that, it would cost you a couple of weeks without a source and in the end they would probably determine that there is no fault and send it to you anyway, adding to what the shipping costs you.

    Best regards
