I love these achievements. The processor seems powerful, I'm not sure if equivalent to a 486 at 66mhz but it certainly doesn't look like it will be lacking. On the other hand, the fact that they managed to run it with so little ram is quite an achievement. In the article they say that the version for game boy advance consumes only 384kb which is already quite impressive. I think for PC it required 4mb of ram. By the way, it seems that Ikea is pushing to remove all the material, for example, the video can no longer be seen. The truth is that from a security point of view, it leaves the light bulb in a very bad place, I also don't understand why it needs such powerful hardware to do something as simple as turning on and off. With a basic microcontroller it would have been enough.

Finally I took it to the technician, as the day came when I could no longer turn it on. It was the power supply.
    Thanks for your answers.

    Hello,
you may be overwhelmed by the technical features of the equipment, since if you don't understand a little about hardware they probably don't mean anything to you.

@cobito Totally true, between 1997 and 1998 a series of titles came out that marked a before and after.
At least for me everything changed, and I still play most of those games periodically today, it's impossible to forget that fun.

Thanks to both of you for responding.

It's not just for next month (hopefully) it's to be able to buy it as soon as I get paid... and that it lasts long enough.

The second-hand thing just doesn't appeal to me; they are new and come with many chances of going wrong, even more so second-hand.

I understand that it must be difficult to recommend something low-end, but if it's better than a Philips 170C with three dead zones (not pixels, zones the size of a thumb) and the stabilizer broken, it will be music to my ears "der weno".

I found this "der weno" ham on here, which, not being much of a Philips fan, I must say it looks very interesting. Take a look to see.

In addition to having an open mind about TVs (speaking of office use), remember that there are stores that allow you to defer payments, some have a card that charges you at the end of the month, or you can set a maximum monthly amount that is spread over the following months, at no cost.

Many supermarkets like ECI, Alcampo, Carrefour, etc... have these options.

Regarding second-hand, you would be surprised at the number of repair shops, stores (for returns) and individuals who store "less new" TVs and monitors, and would be willing to sell them, and almost give them away to get rid of them and recover the space they occupy.

Absolutely right. I also repudiated the idea until I came across a couple of offers that surprised me. Seeing the products in situ, I learned not to rule out any option until I had checked the possibilities firsthand.

Not much man, I'm just being sincere! ? ? I must confess that I came in thinking I would have to do a quick search on Amazon and when I read your comment, I had a flashback of that cheap TV. It was something like: "Of course man! Why hadn't I remembered?" ?

    Saludos!

These are the things that happen when one of the leaders of a standard, insists on ruining it to favor their new standard, but is exposed and ends up implementing their protocol in the new developments of the "old".

@gallina Same as TinyCore and the rest of the programs: using the IDE-USB adapter. With TinyCore I'm not sure if the problem was the removal of the Dynamic Drive Ovelay or something else. On Debian it's clear that there is not enough memory. About compiling, i686 is P6 (Pentium Pro). The Pentium 2 is a Pentium Pro with MMX so as long as you have enough memory, you're good.

The idea as cold storage is quite good, it could always be protected inside an encapsulation of a plastic material that prevents fragility.

You're welcome boss, I'm glad you were able to solve it. I know from contacts with architect friends that it was possible to modify the size and save the changes (eventually it was simple, on other occasions a bit more complex), but I didn't know that your printer was on WiFi and that this would be the problem. It's still curious, although at least now we have the experience for future occasions.

    Best regards!

Well, it looks good to be honest! :detective: The only problem is if I get the courage and add a 360x360 radiator but I guess it's not something I'm going to do for sure.

I totally forgot about the filter, what a shame... I saw mesh and I just assumed it was included

    Thanks for the recommendation!
Next time I'll do it with more time, the anxiety got to me lol!

The mouse is not great, but I don't need a new one. I tried with alcohol and now the wheel is smooth and hard. Better than sticky, but what a disgusting bunch of cheapskates that for saving two cents put the worst of the worst.

If I were to buy for myself, I would try something like this, it has a Renesas chip. If several USBs don't work, I would plug in another card with more ports, and if that doesn't work, you lose 11€, but if it works, you save 130€.

Thank you very much. Interesting, it has usb c...

does not support SLI (nVIDIA), only Crossfire (AMD).

On the other hand, I have 8Gb of RAM from this: https://www.pccomponentes.com/kingston-hyperx-blu-ddr3-1600-pc3-12800-8gb-2x4gb-cl9

do you recommend that I put 16gb more of the same model (in case that I can finally do SLI...)

    Thanks for the answers!!!!

It's better to put 2x8GB, than to buy another two of 4GB to have 4x4GB because it usually gives problems.

    See you!

I just saw the edition with the solution. Defective hardware can make you lose a lot of time. There have been many times when a problematic network or sound card have made me think that the RAM was damaged or that the graphics memory was more broken than fixed.
