It is clear that these mobiles from the Asian market are for people who know and want to tinker with the mobile, in any case there is a big difference between systems, that is why you have to find out about the languages, updates and services it includes. And at the hardware level of the networks it supports, very important for using 3/4G. Thinking that you save 100-300€ and it is exactly the same as the mobiles for the European market is to deceive yourself.

    @whoololon:

Indeed, buying the screen is much more cost-effective in your case.
First, because you have verified that it is not a problem with the motherboard: with an external monitor it works correctly.
Having also ruled out the cable (which would be very strange that both were defective or the connector was broken, something rare but within the realm of possibility), it leaves us with the fact that the butler did it.
    :ugly:

That is my big concern that it is due to some component of the motherboard. I was not so sure about the fact that if it is seen on an external screen it clearly implies that it is not a problem with the motherboard and it could be totally ruled out.
The truth is that the screen turns on but stays completely blank. I will see how much I can get the screen for.
    Thanks for the help.

In addition to what krampak has mentioned, do not forget to reintegrate the doprvhon that enables the tri-polar rectification of the capacitor stack to proceed with the relevance of power/protection and that in this way the systemic operation implicit in the pertinential section provided for an existing automaticity in the locking system occurs.

Tell him the truth, that for that price he won't be able to play anything modern in a decent way. Maybe for strategy games, which aren't as important as FPS, he can, but for shooter games... he'll be left with this face :ugly. A friend wanted a laptop to play games a year and a half ago, and I think his budget was around 700 - 800 or so... I was looking at computers from the Iron Mountain and MSI brands... well, in the end he bought one from BBVA I think because they let him pay in installments and stuff... and I told him that with the graphics card it came with he wouldn't be able to play. I don't remember the model anymore but it was only for office work and not much else. He bought it... and sold it a few months later. What can you do, he always does the same thing, he asks for my advice and then does what he wants :osvaisacagar. Well, on the downside, when he buys it tell us the exact model so that a few days later we can look on second-hand forums to see if said laptop is being sold ;D to see if we can buy it back with a good discount. Now seriously, show him some video on YouTube with a similar laptop, with a game like BF4 so that his balls fall to the ground from how poorly it will run. :facepalm.

Repeating Cobito's question, when do the problems start? Because I assume it hasn't always happened.

You have installed 3 versions of Windows, did it happen to you in all three right after installation, when it should show the desktop for the first time, or when installing the nVidia drivers?

On the other hand, you mention that it doesn't happen under Linux, so a priori we rule out a hardware failure unless 3D acceleration is not activated in Ubuntu. If on the contrary the driver is activated, we directly rule out a component failure.

I could venture that, by performing a clean installation, with the OS that came with the computer and with a driver version closer to the date of purchase of the latter, the problem will not occur.

    You will let us know.

You can see the specifications on the nVIDIA website (almost at the bottom, where it says "View all specifications").

From what I can see at a glance, the LTE version has 32GB of capacity, while the other "only" has 16GB.

Well, for lack of a better idea, and assuming that this W7 is original (or at least a reliable version), I would reformat its partition, no quick formatting or reinstalling. Once done, reinstall W7.

And returning to the Vista issue, if your brother hasn't been very thorough and meticulous when formatting, you might still have the (hidden) recovery partition that contains the OS and the original software package. When you get to the POST screen, press F11 (Recovery Manager).

Edit: I put the C700 model because some version would mount the C2Duo at 1.6, and it could also have other variations at the hardware level. The model usually comes on the back.

Edit: Try with a driver finder, Driver Easy worked well for me and is one of those "use and throw away" programs.

I want them to release something like the Lenovo Yoga but affordable, right now a 13" 1080 with a Celeron Haswell 4gb of RAM and a 128gb SSD should cost around 400€.

I prefer an old laptop with 3 Gigas of Ram even if it doesn't use the D. Channel. Another thing is that you try to buy two 4 Gigas modules. I've messed around with similar laptops from friends and for office work, movies etc. they still perform well so I encourage you to try to get 2 modules of 2 Gigas, but if you can't, personally I'd rather have 3 Gigas of Ram than 2 in Dual Channel, especially if you use Windows 7-8.

    @Sylver:

For me, the Z1 started to scare me when one night it ate 45% of the battery by itself with everything turned off, only data on… In the battery usage I discovered that the "Media Server" was the damned process that was constantly and actively consuming 78% of the resources.

By centralizing the problem in it, I was reading and it seems that sometimes it happens that some app or process gets stuck trying to read some image, video or sound that is "corrupt" or that gives some kind of error, so it keeps running indefinitely in the background and that's why the battery discharges at a high speed.

I read a list of possible solutions, but in my case I did two things, I don't know which one was good or if they were both, but they solved it for me:

1-I uninstalled and updated the Battery Doctor app, which crashed sometimes when trying to view the charge history.

2-I deleted a few junk images, a couple of long videos and a strange image that the gallery didn't recognize (it smells like it was that one), everything was in the phone's internal memory.

Here I leave the site where I looked at the possible solutions:

(Possible Solutions) Media Server eats the battery - HTCMania

    Regards and good luck

Ok, perfect. At first I thought it was some kind of spyware sending my data to some place during moments of inactivity… that's what paranoia does.

When I know the process that causes the discharge I will act. In the meantime I will do a general cleaning of junk.

The disk interface is E-IDE, not SATA and the USB is 2.0, so I don't think you'll be able to take advantage of the transfer rate of an SSD. A conventional SATA drive in an external enclosure connected via USB is the best I can recommend, apart from the observation that the less money you put into an old machine, the better.

Edit: Understand that when I refer to an external drive via USB, I mean a 2.5" SATA.

Have you tried updating the BIOS or old video drivers?

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

The BIOS is up to date, where can I download old drivers for the Intel GMA X3100 graphics card??? On the Intel page I only see the latest ones, which are the ones I have installed, although as I mentioned before, when I freshly formatted the laptop, Windows itself installs some compatible ones and they have the same problem, although it's always worth trying other drivers just in case.

    Regards
