      If it's like the one in the picture, you have the 8 pin atx on one side (you would only connect the 4 that fit), and two 6+2 connectors for PCI-Express

      Salu2!

      Exactly, I think I made a mess, jejejeje. Regards

      I would get a good motherboard that I could mount an nxt gent x8 on and give it my all with confidence, even if I had to scrape together the GPU, which I could then replace with something more suitable and end up with a pretty good rig.

      https://www.coolmod.com/asus-prime-x370-pro-socket-am4-placa-base-precio (needs boot kit)
      https://www.coolmod.com/asus-radeon-rx-470-mining-4gb-gddr5-bulk-tarjeta-grafica-precio (only has one DVI)
      https://xtremmedia.com/?q=cconfig/view#A064080,A069398,A110359 (shipping to post office for 4 bucks)

      Do you already have the case and power supply?

      P.S.: The Crucial 3200s are being pushed to 3600 so the 3000s shouldn't disappoint.

      Editing: Oops, I just saw that you've already got it.

      Sylver, you know I love you, but I must tell you that your Crossfire is a reason for intervention ?

      I love you more, you proposed my rank, the respect and affection I owe you are eternal ❤

      Now seriously, I've been needing to upgrade the CrossfireX for a while, I got a great deal on a new RX580 8Gb and... I waited 24 hours... And it went up... Almost double... And here we are, saving for Black Friday ?

      Of course, not much is left for it now... It's just a matter of the right offer coming along.

      Best regards!

      @boncoe said in Should I format to upgrade the pc?:

      Well for now I'll go with a Gigabyte Rx570 4gb Bulpack that I find at the beginning of the year for 2 bucks. I've been saving to upgrade practically everything except the case which is a corsair 600T and the power supply which is an Ocz of 700w.
      Later I will renew the graphics card but for now I have to wait.........

      Good graphics card, if for the Ryzen a bit short but depending on the resolution you play it's effective. And better to wait because now with the recent launch of the Navi and the restructuring of the RTX there's a good mess.

      Yes probably a bit short for the 3600, the resolution I usually play at is 1080 full hd with a 60Hz monitor. As for the graphics card I already told you that when I recover it will be the next thing I change, but as you say now there's a mess of a thing with the cards and the prices I don't even mention. The mid-range has almost disappeared and now it's either low or high

      @rul3s Now I have a doubt, because I understood that you have to use a submultiple, not a multiple. I'm not sure how digital interfaces refresh data, but in VGA, if you generate two frames in a screen refresh, the first will appear in one half of the screen and the second in the second half (in DVI I think it works the same way). If you generate several frames per refresh, the screen will appear split into several pieces:

      0_1562230542391_c5c1ea87-080a-43f7-a923-b880ea3aed84-imagen.png

      If instead of using a frame rate of double, you use quadruple, 4 cuts will appear on the screen and so on.

      On the other hand, if you use a submultiple (eg: 30fps on a 60Hz screen), during two screen refreshes a single frame will be shown, so there will be "no" tearing.

      0_1562230431353_c55ddbcb-610e-44ae-8017-cb8b5fa82218-imagen.png

      This assuming that the frame generation and screen refresh are perfectly synchronized. If both the GPU and the screen work at 60fps but there is no synchronization, tearing will appear. In this case, the screen will always appear split in the same place:

      0_1562230742072_4c376793-5472-4aaa-88bb-1cf0794caf59-imagen.png

      If the frame change catches you in the middle of the screen, it will be clearly seen. If it catches you very high or very low, it will hardly be noticed. I think V-Sync did exactly this: to match the beginning of both cycles, but I'm not really sure.

      The point is that if both refreshes go their own way, the line that separates both frames will appear in random places and that is really annoying. But then again, maybe I'm just swinging because it's been a while since I've been up to date on this.

      @boncoe I don't know what color yours is, but when I looked yesterday they did have the side panels.
      Link.
      In any case, it is true that the right side is always smooth, so as Lord Neptunno comments, you have no choice but to either order it from a glazier (I don't think it will cost you more than 40€), or use a radial and a grinder and do it yourself.

      @Sylver said in Bad luck with the new monitor:

      Posting from a BenQ of 27" with the same problem. Since it arrived new it has a dead pixel, and mind you that in 27" it is noticed much more, especially in some colors. From the factory they always say the same thing, starting from 3 dead pixels they take charge, meanwhile they don't. Follow the advice of Bm4n if you are still in the return period to the physical store, otherwise you will have to eat it.

      Regards

      Thanks for your advice, but in the end I decided to return it since I didn't trust it at all and I just didn't want to stay with a monitor with a dead pixel being new. Luckily I found the same model at Pc Components because in no MediaMarkt store in Spain did I have it, this new one that came to me works perfectly and I am happy with the purchase.
      Thanks to all for your opinions

      @Fassou:

      In the modern ones I don't think you have a problem, but in the old ones, they used a kind of reddish cardboard washers, to insulate the screw head from the plate, and probably also to avoid splintering them with the pressure.

      Salu2!

      The plate is from the old ones since as I said I am assembling a basic computer with leftover parts from the oldest ones. And I have the doubt that mounting the plate directly to the case chassis is giving me problems

      @Fassou:

      I just thought, that in some old BIOSes you had an option, to prevent the computer from turning on when the case is open, which was called… ¿ Open Case?

      It was a jumper, to which a cable was connected that went to the case, and if the circuit was not closed (or you put the jumper), it wouldn't start.

      Regarding your question about the power supply, when the power supplies crack the capacitors, it is common to have problems starting up, and you have to leave them for a while without a plug, before you can start them up.

      Salu2!

      Thanks for your comments, but I've had enough and I've thrown everything away…..........

      @Fassou:

      In a couple of weeks, nVIDIA presents its new GTX (probably GTX870 and GTX880), so waiting a bit will allow you to have better prices on the graphics card.

      Salu2!

      Fassou is right, but if you don't want to get a high-end card because of the price or because you don't need it, go for the 700 series, or wait a few months for them to release the 850, 840, and others

      @Obione:

      If the power supply can end up in a gaming rig I would get an Enermax NAXN or a Silverstone Essential 500W at xtremmedia. You get 400W at 12V and acceptable quality for 40 euros.

      +1 if you don't want to spend a lot of money, those power supplies are fine. Regarding the B-Move 600W if there is no other option, you can buy it and it will last with a low-end graphics card, but better one of the ones the fellow mentions.
