    I seem to have read somewhere that you could save yourself the TRIM by leaving the PC on in the BIOS overnight with the garbage collector XD I'm saying this from memory and I'm not sure if the terms I mentioned were exactly these… :ugly:

    Hello

    Is the installation of windows 7 new or did you use an image from a previous installation? I say this because I know of cases where the images are not very well reinstalled and instabilities occur. Do not worry about compatibility, as they tell you, a SATA3 disk is totally compatible with a board suitable for SATA2, it is only limited to speed.

    In the meantime, I would try to format, and update drivers in general.

    Greetings

    Man, I said that about the brands because I have like 16 energizers and 8 of those quechua ones for a long time and none of them have broken, and they still hold up. I use them with the wii, keyboards, mice, so there are some that charge a few more times than 3 or 4.
    Whoololon, I'm not saying you're wrong, it's the same as getting a mercedes. They're supposed to not fail, but you got the dummy, but it's not normal for their quality standards that are better than those of a dacia, for example.

    @xoke:

    Hello everyone, like many in the forum I have bought an SDD (Kingston HyperX SSD 3K) and when searching the internet for methods for its maintenance, performance,… I have a couple of doubts.

    Is it possible to use AHCI considering that this option does not appear in the BIOS when activating the one from Windows. The thing is that Nvidia or AMD chipsets are incompatible with AHCI and I am not sure if it is possible to bypass this limitation using the one that W7 comes with by default. Would it boot without problems, would the disk be damaged,..?

    OS: W7
    Motherboard Gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2 v1 ------ Chipset nForce7025-630a
    BIOS Award Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
    CPU QuadCore AMD Phenom II X4 Black Edition 955

    How is that Kingston? does it work well in terms of system and games? are the maintenance programs effective?.

    Don't complicate your life.
    Retire the Seiko, get a decent mid-range laser printer, for BN they are the best in terms of quality/price per page and you can leave it parked for months without any problem if you take care to buy a dust cover for it.
    For photos and color work, a USB stick. Almost all copy shops can help you out with that, so you don't have to keep a machine that you only use occasionally.

    Hello

    You can, but you will have to set the SSD as the primary disk so that it always boots from it and then you will have to edit the boot.ini file of the new operating system and write the entries of the other operating systems in it, so you can access them from the menu at startup.

    Best regards

Cinco años después y por 2 días me salvé de tener que pillarme uno nuevo "Suerte" tuviste, este tiene 3 años de garantía solo.

    I think that by connecting it to my smarttv it can work for sure there will be some possibility of connecting, but if I pick it up I will connect it to the HTPC and enjoy, I think that if I am going to get it, although I must give it another try.

    @24adyct:

    The PC is newly assembled, it's a couple of weeks old, everything is clean and well connected (the extra power supply for the motherboard is connected, but the graphics card doesn't have it)
    Could it be that I was short with 600W for the power supply?????

    Does it happen with all games?
    how do you have the memory and the CPU configured?
    have you put the latest bios on the motherboard?
    that graphics card will be quite tight, but it seems more of a configuration problem, the power supply should be more than enough, although some power supplies if they are bad will turn off the computer, this happens to me with a Tacens, in my case it is the power supply that is bad, but there may be more things in your case.

    Curiously, a Tacen of more than 600W fails me and one of 420W doesn't.

    If the power supply is good, it is more than enough for that computer, it should be more than enough.

    I had some problems with an M4 with cold boot and hibernation. It almost never detected the disk during boot and I had to leave it several minutes in the BIOS (or in the error that the OS could not be loaded) and then restart, then it recognized the disk. That hasn't happened to me again since I updated the disk firmware, so I recommend that you check if there is any new revision for your Kingston.
