    I vote for power supply or graphics. If the hard drive is new and the failure repeats, it is logically a matter of another component. RAM is less likely, but still, it doesn't take much time to check it.

    Tasks to perform:
    -Replace the graphics card with another borrowed one or one you have saved and see if it works, don't buy a new one for this purpose, it could be in vain.
    -Replace the power supply with another borrowed one, that you have saved or from another computer, always checking that the total power of the power supply with which you do the test is equal to or greater than the one you already had.
    -Remove the RAM modules and clean the slots of the board well with a brush. Replace the RAM modules with others borrowed, that you have saved or from another computer.

    The goal of all this is to check if you get stability and the monitor doesn't freeze again. Try doing this and let us know.

    Thanks for the advice.

    Yes, other monitors do work. In fact I normally work with two, and now (obviously) I have switched to just one.

    The monitor itself wouldn't turn on, the power button light kept blinking (like when the computer turns off the monitor after inactivity, and moving the mouse turns it on). You know, what we usually call standby, neither off nor on.

    Si os parece bien creo que iré a por la Seasonic entonces, ya que la idea del crossfire con fuentes de ese rango de precios no os parece buena idea, además en amazon está bastante barata, 65€ por 72€ en pccomponentes que la pusieron hace nada creo.

    If the HDD appears and disappears from Disk Management, connect it directly to a USB port on the back of the motherboard to eliminate possible problems with the front USB ports.

    Regarding the RAW partition, from Disk Management itself, you can delete it and partition the disk as you wish, assigning the drive letter you want.

    well it seems that for the moment neither one nor the other :wall: I discarded the advance 932 because it doesn't have the packaging and sending it from Madrid to BCN …. I don't trust it ( and even less after saying that it had very little use, I'm the kind of person who keeps the packaging for at least a few months ;D ) besides, since it's without G.I for a little more I'll get a new one from Trinca.
    and the chosen one, the obsidian 650D :mad: it turns out that the person selling it isn't showing any signs of life (and I've sent him several messages) so :facepalm:
    I'll have to do another mod (more fun) or save more <:(

    +1

    I do the same with my GW2750. I have the PC3 connected by VGA and the PC1 by HDMI. In addition, I have the KVM switch connected (it only has VGA output) and I change according to my needs, being able to use the same keyboard and mouse on both computers. It saves space above all.

    As a curiosity, for example, my monitor has HDMI as the main output, so when I am using the PC1 that goes by HDMI, I press the switch button to change the input, the monitor continues to show the PC1 (HDMI) until I press the input change button on the monitor itself and select D-SUB (VGA).

    However, when I am on the PC3 and I press the switch button to switch to the PC1, the image change is immediate, since the HDMI output prevails over VGA.

    Few movies and few games but hey, I guess it has its charm. You can watch The Hobbit or play Tomb Raider in 3D but the kit and a 3D Vision 2 is expensive:

    NVIDIA GeForce Kit Gafas 3D Vision 2 942-11431-0009-001
    Asus VG248QE 24" LED 3D 144Hz 90LMGG001Q022B1C Monitor

    For less than the monitor costs, you can get an 7870 and a 24" LED monitor:

    @pacoberu:

    Ok, thanks. I'll try it carefully. Anyway, I guess that if I connect it via eSata it won't be able to rebuild the raid, since in the nas you can only mount raid on the internal disks.

    Best regards

    Your concern is to reinstall the RAID, on the one hand you have to understand that a RAID1 is made to work whether the 2 disks are there or only 1 is with which if you put a new hard drive the software should be able to rebuild it automatically. If you had to do it manually it is easy to make an image of the disk and burn it to a new disk, once done you will have two identical disks ready for RAID1. You should also be able to access the data from the remaining disk from a Linux. Don't mix plugging it into a PC to read with rebuilding a RAID…

    For example the instructions of a common NAS, so you can see that it is the most normal thing in the world, and search a little on the web with your model to see what you find: Replacing a failed hard drive | macsynology

    @Magog:

    This is especially bleeding in SSDs due to over-provisioning.

    But to minimize this is over-provisioning and so on (Write amplification - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia), I have not noticed it at least. I suppose it will be noticed having many small files, databases, data center, etc. but in a normal OS it does not seem to be a problem. PD. And there are disks that already come with a size reserved for these purposes, in the 840pro in addition to the 256GB it has 7% reserved by the controller, so you do not need to lose or intentionally leave free space for the OP if you do not want to.
