    If the graphics memory is shared, configure it in the BIOS to allocate more than 1Gb to the graphics card.

    I have the BenQ GW2750, I started using it this January and I am very happy, really. I have not compared it with other monitors of the same size, but it has a 2ms response time and several brightness and contrast modes to choose from depending on how you use it.

    Best regards

    Of all the brands you mention, I have only used Synology, specifically a couple of DS211+, and I can only praise them. I don't know how they are in terms of performance, because I have always installed them for backups outside of working hours, but they are very easy to set up and have never given me any problems, despite the power cuts in some cases.

    The choice of disks seems to me to be absolutely correct as long as the budget allows it.

    As for other brands, Qnap also has a good reputation.

    Best regards.

    I already have that cable. The problem is that when I connect that cable to the computer's USB port, it doesn't recognize it. That's why I'm looking for a Micro USB cable like the one I have, but with a SATA output instead of USB, so I can plug it into the motherboard.

    I don't know if what I'm asking for even exists, to be honest.

    I would like to get that ferelxyx but I don't think my 6950 will be able to run it. The one PistonS recommends doesn't look bad, although on Amazon US it's already going to be $264... well I'll keep thinking about it

    regards!

    That I saw for the first time (on video) 6 or 7 years ago. I am still waiting for it to be sold in stores, because I have never seen one. On the other hand, charging the device for 4 hours, to use it only 2, gives a bad performance. I hope, at least, that it can be used while it is recharging.

    @Fassou:

    Some DVI-VGA adapters have more pins than others, and that's why it doesn't recognize the state, and thinks the cable is disconnected.

    I don't think it's important, but if you can't live like that :D, look for an adapter with all the pins on the DVI side at "los Chinos".

    Salu2!

    Well, as a power solution, you can live like that. The only thing is the habit of turning off the operating system and at least seeing the screen turn off, but well, it's not important. Interesting the contribution you make, I didn't know that DVI adapters came incomplete, curious.

    If you take a look at reviews around the internet you'll see that the chip on that card doesn't give more of itself. Here for example.
    Edit: in the forums of Anandtech they also talk about it.

    Best regards.

    I would recommend a Samsung EVO of the capacity you can afford. I get along well with 128GB but I wouldn't mind something with more capacity, between the margin of safety to degrade less, Battlefield 3 and Guild Wars 2 in addition to some editing programs and Windows 7, there's no room for more. The problem is that the gigas are paid for with those chips...

    As for the controller, I have seen some Marvell that perform less in general terms than the ICH10 from Intel. Perhaps it was because older models only exceeded SATA 2 in sequential reading, the Samsung EVO also have good writing rates. The best thing you can do is to test on both controllers with AS SSD and comment on the results.

    As for the graphics, that 250 will care little about functioning with PCIe x8 or x16, if your equipment performs worse using the Marvell controller it won't be for the PCIe bandwidth but for poor management when sharing bandwidth but I don't think you will have problems with this, the other PCIe will already make you lose something, it works at x4.

    I recommend the Nzxt 810, you can put a 360 radiator on top and a 240 below. The RL mounting will be easier for you.
    I have the Raven 03 mounted in RL (240 inside the case and 360 on the side) thanks to the great assembly by ProsilentPc where I recommend you check the prices of what you are looking for.
    The Raven 02 is a bit bigger inside but they are designed for air cooling.

    @ciberdrac:

    Is it normal for a low-level format of a 500GB disk to take two days and still be at 41%?

    yes, I had the hdd regenerator with a 500GB disk and it took a week and a half, so patience and see if there's any luck

    @whoololon:

    As Dr. Frankenstein would say: "Let's break it down."
    A computer taking a long time to start up and running slow doesn't necessarily mean the hard drive is failing. For starters, you can run a diagnostic to check its status and transfer rate, although the most common issue is usually the OS degrading over time, which can be fixed with a good format.
    It's true that an SSD would improve performance, but for a laptop that's two years old and, as you indicate, not used much, it's best not to spend money, or to spend as little as possible: another hard drive the same as the one you have now would do the trick, as moving the swap file there would make a noticeable improvement. :sisi:
    By the way, what laptop are we talking about?

    I've tried to keep the OS as clean as possible, cleaning the registry, removing most programs from startup... Although it's true that since I bought it, I haven't formatted it out of laziness. Anyway, I've always noticed it being much slower than a desktop, which is why I've always thought that a large part of the blame was the hard drive.
    What program do you know to diagnose the hard drive? The laptop is a packard bell tm85 jo 460sp with the following specifications:
    CPU: i5 460m
    Hard drive: WD 640 gb at 5400 rpm
    Graphics: GT 320m
    4 gb ddr3 ram (2+2)

    If it worked well, when and why did it stop working?
    The solution is, again, to uninstall drivers and scanner applications, but properly deleted. Packard Bell Diamond 2450 WIA Scanner 1.0.0.1 Completely Uninstalled
    If, as you say, it used to work well, try using those same drivers.
    According to what I have observed, there is the WIA and the flatbed model, one is from Mustek http://www.hamrick.com/vuescan/mustek_packard_bell_diamond_2450.html and the other is genuine HP. Download Packard Bell Diamond 2450 USB Flatbed Scanner for free
    You can also use programs like Driver Easy or use the one that comes with Windows for your model.
    In any case, it is only a problem of drivers and perhaps a Windows file that has been messed up. With enough tinkering, it will work well again.
