    It will almost certainly be the windows… But try it, and if not, then the E8500, because putting an i5 in it seems like a waste to me.

    Hello how are you, welcome to the forum, you have to configure if or if the xmp, set the latencies and voltage and the amount of mhz of the ram if you want to use it at 2400 since probably if you put it in auto it will detect it at 1600 as happened in my case.

    PD. If its factory voltage is 1.65v then you have no reason to be alarmed, it should work like that, don't worry they won't melt.

    @Kernel1.0:

    For passing some synthetic test yes, but for everyday use I don't think you'll notice.

    Before I had the memos at 800 Mhz, which was how the motherboard set them when in Auto. I recently started messing around in the BIOS, as I had no idea before.

    I suffer from Micro-stuttering in games like Skyrim, and a friend told me it could be because my memory was too slow or I had too little Vram, I have 1280 Vram, but I read that people with my graphics card didn't have these problems. So I decided to increase the memory, and also increased the micro, from 2.66 to 4.0 Ghz, achieving stability a few days ago after several tests and tweaking the voltages a bit. In the overclock section you can find the post I opened asking for help to overclock the micro.

    The point is that I'm going to see if the Micro-stuttering was due to the speed of the memory, which I have not yet checked due to lack of time, I'll let you know later...

    If you say that it's not worth it for me to increase them to 2000 Mhz, then they will stay at 1600...

    Today I measured the voltage that the power supply is giving and it is correct…5.130 to 5.200 and the usb of the board...and also...it seems that the temperature sensors are broken...because the current that the power supply gives is correct and the one that is on the board is also correct....what do you think...regards!!!

    @Elaphe:

    How much could you normally overclock with the stock cooler without it getting ridiculously hot?

    You can put it in turbo and a lot is… Seriously, I don't recommend it even for testing... :nono:

    Well, it seems that this motherboard does not support 4 GB memory modules, not even by setting them to 1333 MHz.

    I bought 2 identical 2 GB Kingston 1333 MHz modules to the ones I had, and I already have 8 in total. Now everything works fine, the memories up to 1600 and the i3 to 3.8 without problems.

    Well, I found the CM brackets for that model on eBay in 1155 so they will arrive in a week or something. I didn't want to put it folded because besides looking ugly it doesn't cover the whole processor and it will lose performance. While I have the one that came with the 3570K on.

    I'll tell you about the doubt I have now that I don't know in which section of the forum to put it:

    I installed two Corsair AF120 fans in the case, they are those that have the interchangeable colored rings. The thing is that they make more noise than the ones I had in my previous case, which on top of having 3 were of unknown brand (or so I think). I stopped the processor fan and it makes noise, but I'm going to change that one.

    Do you recommend some 120 fans for the case that are quiet, and if possible that are black because I don't want to spoil how nice everything is turning out ?

    Many thanks as always to everyone ;D

    @hAyO:

    According to the info I looked at, the X99 won't be compatible with Haswell-E, it will also be socket 2011, but with a different structure, so it won't be backward compatible.

    Well, if they don't release an X89, the socket 2011 seems like the biggest joke on Intel's part, now they're releasing CPUs that won't be fully utilized if they don't also release motherboards and a new chipset.

    I think it's a mess on Intel's part, it's very bad that there isn't serious competition because they're doing whatever they want.

    This move by Intel suggests that they will soon release Haswell-E and will leave the X79 behind

    right now I see a 4670k as a better option, 4770K with z87 is the most advanced from Intel.

    Besides, it looks like they are modules with the same type of memory, so if you want to set it manually, you can configure it to 1600 cl8 (which would be the best) or to 1333 cl7. Basically because the memory, by lowering the latencies, allows you to increase the speed, so they sell the same thing but with a different "seal"; you can't be sure, but it usually happens.

    There's no need to ?

    The chipset doesn't have a built-in VGA? It's an nForce. They should be tough with the temperatures of the chipset itself. Anyway, take a close look at the AGP socket in case the pins it contains are also damaged. If you can upload a photo of the damaged part of the card and the motherboard...

    BUenas, perdon por no contestar antes. El Pc lo dicho, ya lo tengo en un sitio con mas espacio, lo de los ventiladores pues teneis razon, hacen bastante ruido xD. La semana que viene a ver si puedo y me paso por alguna tienda de informatica y me pillo un ventilador para la caja. Y cuando pueda el disipador del CPU. Gracias a todos!!

    @Obione:

    The 3570 with the Z77 Pro4 is a good option, the Pro3 is also sufficient. If you can get the K for a little more, don't buy the 3570 plain which has the multiplier locked although you could tweak it a bit with a Z77. In any case, if you don't want OC or are looking for something very light, you can go for the 3570.

    If you want comparisons, check out the Anandtech bench database which is very good:

    AnandTech | Bench - CPU (Put games)

    Editing: If you have the 300R take advantage of the fact that it fits the Silver Arrow and get the K ;D

    If you want a decent motherboard and don't care about SLI, get a Gigabyte Z77 for a little over 100€.

    Heyyyy, good page for comparing CPUs
    Many thanks. I guess I'll get the 3570k which is 9 euros more and just for the fact that I'll sell it better in the future it's worth it.
    I've always liked Asrock and Asus so it has to be one of those two

    Thanks for the help and I'll check the processor comparisons on that page

    To increase the chances that someone will read it :D, note that the article is based on another one from 2011 published in The Tech Report, about the incompleteness of performance benchmarks, by not taking into account phenomena such as micro-stuttering.

    In this case, the Chinese evaluate the Frame Generation Time to detect the moments when it exceeds 30ms, and is detected by the human eye as a failure in the fluidity of the image, focusing on the results with different processors.

    Salu2!

    PD: Yes, it's a geek thing ;D

    it is normal for it to fail
    slots 1 and 3 are from the same channel. 2 and 4 are the second channel.
    you would have to put a 2gb module in slot 1 and the 4gb one in slot 3.
    in slot 2 another 2gb and in slot 4 the remaining 4gb. in each channel there must be the same sum of memories. if not, it blows up. sometimes the manual messes up with that issue. i have found many computers working with only one channel and two 2gb modules in the same.

    well, you may already have the mid-range network card. run the tests that it performs with its program. see if it gives you any strange values. clean the contacts on it with the rj45 and good luck.
