Lamento no haber visto este post con anterioridad. Mi opinión a la historia que relatas es la siguiente.
Me parece que NO existe manual en papel ni en formato pdf (en el website de Abit) sobre la placa base IC7 en particular, sino que se adjunta en la caja de una Abit IC7 el manual de la Abit IC7-G.
Supongo que esto es así puesto que la IC7 y la IC7-G son prácticamente iguales salvando el hecho de que esta última incorpora dos canales SATA adicionales así como una red gigabit integrada.
Hasta tal punto son iguales, que la IC7 trae incluso el conector hembra RJ-45 (aunque la IC7 que yo he visto tiene la boca del conector tapada por una plaquita). Esto puede inducir a error, haciéndonos pensar que una IC7 trae red integrada, pero no es así. Tenemos que fijarnos que la placa base NO tiene el chip controlador LAN a pesar de traer el conector. Dónde debiera situarse este chip controlador LAN, se encuentra vacío (mejor dicho se muestra una matriz sobre el PCB de unos 15*15 puntos de contacto para la ubicación del chip)
Del mismo modo la IC7 también tiene visible la ubicación de los conectores SATA3 y SATA4 que trae la IC7-G pero que no trae la IC7.
Espero haberme explicado con claridad. Así pues Voltron, no te quemes la cabeza, el conector RJ-45 que tiene tu IC7 es meramente de adorno y lógicamente jamás podrá funcionar.
