    @jordiqui
I completely understand your opinion and that you don't want to see the video.
Although the truth is that it's not worth it. So much nonsense all together.
Basically, the tower is a steel base cut with a laser on which a transparent methacrylate fish tank is mounted, lined with pieces of methacrylate treated with acid.
Inside, all the components are placed, and when I say all, I mean all.
With the M.B turned 90 degrees clockwise, the connectors are at the top.
Then they put a lid on it to cover the cables.
And they fill the tank with a non-conductive liquid.
They explain this for 45 minutes as if it were the newest thing in the world and done by the best in the world...
The methacrylate cutting is done with a large CNC machine that...
In the course of things, I took the "engineer" with a vacuum cleaner to remove the shavings while the machine was working.
As a curiosity, an industrial CNC can only be closed (so that you don't have accidents) or open but with a mat or detection cell so that you can't get closer than 1 meter to the machine while it's working.

In short, it doesn't contribute anything to the world of computing and even less to the world of modding.

    @cobito sincerely.
I have the corsair comander and it clearly states that it is only compatible with certain corsair fans.
And we are talking about a simple hub for fans and leds ( of course the leds have to be corsair )
So I highly doubt that tomorrow we can put the fans or whatever from another brand.
Corsair comes up with the idea, the others copy it but... With " buts "
Not a universal system as such.
It remains to be seen when W11 finally releases to the rest of mortals the option to control the leds from the S.O.
When that happens, maybe the corsair system and the others that will come out can be combined.
But seeing how W11 and corsair icue measure the temperatures...
    I don't know.
    What if...
I have a lot of work to do.
But W11 marks me some acceptable GPU temperatures and the corsair icue marks me at least 10/15 degrees more.
    Regards

It is the first in the industry to include a 3D temperature sensor array to precisely control server fans, to direct cooling and reduce unnecessary fan power, and thus save on cooling costs.

@defaultuser @defaultuser at 45 degrees to go from 120 to 140 you need a minimum height of 1cm, you can do it another way... But I don't have the tools to do it.
Anyway I've pulled myself together and I'm setting up RAID 0 with three mN2 64 bits, with the W11 pro
    I'll upload screenshots soon.

@clipper said in A "new" CPU heatsink:

so at a glance it looks like 1.5 or 2 mm and that in stamping... As if not.

Stamps are made from steels of greater thickness than that and we are talking about copper, besides the sheet is not machined, it is stamped or cut by laser or water jet.

Seriously the fins would come out of a stamping press even if they were 4mm thick, or eventually by water jet cutting for a superior finish but making the product a bit more expensive.

@clipper said in A cooler larger than the tower:

As a curiosity, it says that the water pump gives 750 liters per hour...
As far as I remember, in the good old days, in this same forum, pumps of 1500 liters per hour were recommended and I think they were 15 meters (we used bars) so I see it as a bit scarce.

Don't believe it, that's all very relative, it has to be treated as the hydraulic issue that it is and we would have to see exactly what pump it is, and several other aspects.

@clipper said in A cooler larger than the tower:

    And speaking of good times...
Who doesn't remember that forum member who made the water block for the CPU cascade and the octopus block?

    ¿What?

I revived the thread because I didn't want to start a new one.
    First, the equipment:
AMD 8350 and GPU Rx 580.
I upgraded the RAM and installed Patriot Viper 1866 16 gs, the first one on the front, they are high profile and my tuned triton 88 can't fit with three fans...
    Hot as hell ?
I threw away my tuned tower and bought a corsair 500 i
    And a RL corsair 360 i
The processor at 60% doesn't go over 30 degrees.
But the gpu gets to 100% at 70 degrees and I've done underworkinn and at 100% it stays at 55/60 degrees and now we're at its nos 17 degrees in summer... A real pain.
I'm considering installing a CPU RL on the gpu.
I've seen the ncxt kraken kit for 30€ plus the RL.
Paying 30€ for a piece of folded aluminum and a fan (considering that they say you need an adapter for the molex, I'm not too sure).
My doubts, if I install a CPU RL on the gpu (probably corsair) how will the system recognize it? Does it work in icue? If I have to install fans for the VRAM how do I manage them?
And finally, for an RX580 of 8 gs, what radiator? 120/240/360?
    Regards, regards

Well, in the end I managed to buy the new power supply but even so the space was very tight and I preferred to mount the thin fans for the top. And I ordered a couple of Arctic P12 slim, they work very well, they work from 200rpm and up to 1000rpm they hardly make any noise. They cost half of the Noctua ones, and the design of the blades is quite nice: http://imgur.com/a/u1uFR0M

The issue is that this is such a bad idea because, if the power supply is of quality and sufficient power, one is more than enough.

If you are going to put a generic one, or one of those with a trendy name with a sticker that says "87+ Golder Retriever 800 W"... which then have a huge ripple (and if they deliver 300 W real, we can be very happy), for that it doesn't matter if you put two, three or four power supplies, sooner or later you are going to have problems anyway.

Likewise, if we buy two good power supplies what we are doing is throwing money away.

In short, it is possible, but it is completely unnecessary in a home PC, no matter how high-end it is.
