Bueno, ha quedado todo bien ordenado. Será un equipo con unos años pero aún puede tirar de juegos con esa gráfica.

@Clipper The thing is that I had photos of the process somewhere, but that was 8 years ago and so many hard drives... ?
I don't have the case physically at home, otherwise I would have taken some photos, although honestly it's not completely finished, I still had parts to paint and add the methacrylate (and put the components in of course). I went to study abroad for a few years and it was left standing and forgotten ?

    Best regards!

In this tomshardware article they say:

1x four-hour burn-in, followed by a break of at least two hours
    4x one-hour measurement, with one-hour breaks
Total time at least 16 hours per thermal product and cooler

It's not days, but something is something... that is, it's from 2017 (although they compare a lot).

@boncoe I don't know what color yours is, but when I looked yesterday they did have the side panels.
    Link.
In any case, it is true that the right side is always smooth, so as Lord Neptunno comments, you have no choice but to either order it from a glazier (I don't think it will cost you more than 40€), or use a radial and a grinder and do it yourself.

    Mugen 5 rev2 by Scythe

Many thanks, Whoololon. I have already installed the H7, but I will take note of your advice as I might try the Scythe later, or on other computers. If things get crazy this summer, I will try to fix it with the Dark Rock 4.
The truth is that water doesn't fully convince me for my own computers, although I have built them for clients a long time ago.

@rul3s As long as it's half as cool as it looks, it's worth the cost.
A curiosity, is the front panel removable for cleaning?
On mine you have to take the whole thing apart and it's a pain in the ass.

    Well I've been looking.
The arctic RL needs 88mm of clearance... And at first glance, the maximum I have is 70mm....
I'll have to check the size of the others

Edited... I've got an idea... let's see if I'm not wrong...
    alt text

If you look at the image to see if I'm saying it right. Where now there are two fans, there are 7 cm to the metal box where the power supply and the disks are...
The arctic has a 38mm wide radiator and a 25mm fan.

If I put some fans outside the box (but covered by plastic) inside the tower would be the radiator and 1 fan... 25+38 = 63 mm, and I leave the other fan outside the box...

The same thing happens to me above, but the distance is less, only 6cm... so it wouldn't work either...

I'm going to see how the arctic is installed

    EDITED2....

Well... everything is on youtube ?... and here's what I wanted to tell you...

What a cucumber you're going to build!! ?
I wonder how that Ryzen and those GTX1070 are, but I think you're going to enjoy building it and giving it good use.

I'm happy with my 4790k and my gtx970, which I hope will last me a long time!!

    Best regards!!.

Between one thing and another, I finally forgot to mention it: good review. My experience with "cheap" heatsinks has always been regular with the issue of anchors, but okay. A shame that it does not reach the expected results.

Well, I've been looking at cases for days to retire my wooden case and the truth is that I had my eye on the 540, I really like this double width system to hide discs and cables. A good candidate to become my new case!

    @defaultuser:

[…]The sleeve bearings wear out and you end up with rotor oscillation, vibration, noise, and loss of performance.
The rolling element bearings when they wear out produce more noise than all the others, even though they still keep the rotor centered.
The fluid dynamic bearings make no noise, supposedly have no friction, no oscillation or noise over the years, but it seems to me that they don't work well in all positions and I don't know about reliability, I have a couple here that in the vertical position I think they have been since the invention of the fluxus bearing jjjj
    […]

It should be noted that, as a commercial product, it must have a balance between sophistication, innovation, and cost.
Could a fan be built without an axle, with no more friction than aerodynamic? Yes, but outside the industrial realm it wouldn't be profitable.

Out of curiosity I did a little research, it seems that there is a company called Sunon that has been marketing the same products for some time.

The TMD… damn what times. :fumeta:

No clue. I haven't found any references other than the external dimensions. The maximum height for the heatsink is not specified.
The 212 EVO has a height of 159 mm, and looking at photos of the open case, I couldn't be sure.
In any case, being a pain in the ass, having the source on top isn't ideal. You have the Sharkoon VG4-W for less than 40 € and it's pretty cool, aesthetically and allows a heatsink of 16 cm maximum.

But as I say, regarding your tower, I can't assure you that there's room.

Good afternoon, in addition to ordering this adapter EK-UNI Holder DDC V2 – EK Webshop, I have also ordered this other one that you told me about EK-UNI Pump Bracket (120mm FAN) Vertical – EK Webshop, just in case I can't put it or can't find a place for it. I understand that if you put me the adapter that goes where a 12cm fan, I can put my pump with the top I have, which would be, Alphacool Laing DDC Acetal Top and the pump a Laing DDC-Pumpe 12V DDC-1T. And another thing, could I mount on a Fractal Define S the top + the pump I have, attached to this EK-XRES 100 DDC MX - Acetal – EK Webshop and using the adapter I put above that goes to the fan?

    Best regards

It is true that when "the infallible" fails, confidence falls and sighs begin... But it is also true that Intel "stumbled" with the SATA controllers of the P67 and H67 and it seems that they remain there up there without falling from the throne. Everything depends on the magnitude of the stumble and the capacity for reaction to solve it, with which these of EK seem to be on a good path.

    Greetings
