      Very good....
I was wondering if, really, any motherboard can support multiple GPUs.

My idea is not for gaming or mining BTC, but to return to Seti@Home

I am reading and I see that people use almost the same as for mining BTC, ethereum, LTC... t all resides on an Asrock BTC rev 2.0 (board with multiple PCIE X1...

The question is, if I wanted (which I want ? ) to make a machine for Seti@home with multiple GPUs... would I need by all means a board like this??? Or would a board with 3 PCIEx1 and a PCIx16... that is... a normal board... be enough?...

      Best regards

They use the Asrock BTC because it has 7 pcie slots, so it depends on the number of graphics cards you want to mount for the SETI. If you want to mount a couple then a normal board will serve you, it all depends on the number of cards you want. As it's not for 3D, only for raw calculation, with the 1x interface there is enough bandwidth for the task. On the other hand if you wanted to mount a render farm or similar where there is intensive 3D use you would need more bandwidth than what the 1x channel provides.

I did some tests at home. With Wifi N, even with a short distance and with just a Pladur wall in between, it didn't reach 4MB/s, with a 100 network it was close to 11MB/s and with gigabit it was around 80/90MB/s. If they are small documents it doesn't matter, but if they are videos or files of several gigas it is noticeable.

The truth... is that I don't understand why they make such an idiot ?
My 4790K, after Delid, went down 10 degrees...

Why does a factory insist that its products do not work as well as possible?

      It almost seems like a self-boicott ?

      Well I've been looking.
The arctic RL needs 88mm of clearance... And at first glance, the maximum I have is 70mm....
I'll have to check the size of the others

Edited... I've got an idea... let's see if I'm not wrong...
      alt text

If you look at the image to see if I'm saying it right. Where now there are two fans, there are 7 cm to the metal box where the power supply and the disks are...
The arctic has a 38mm wide radiator and a 25mm fan.

If I put some fans outside the box (but covered by plastic) inside the tower would be the radiator and 1 fan... 25+38 = 63 mm, and I leave the other fan outside the box...

The same thing happens to me above, but the distance is less, only 6cm... so it wouldn't work either...

I'm going to see how the arctic is installed

      EDITED2....

Well... everything is on youtube ?... and here's what I wanted to tell you...

If I were to buy for myself, I would try something like this, it has a Renesas chip. If several USBs don't work, I would plug in another card with more ports, and if that doesn't work, you lose 11€, but if it works, you save 130€.

Thank you very much. Interesting, it has usb c...

I see a lot of complaints with the update. I thought I was doing well until I threw myself into playing the car simulator. My Oculus sensor and steering wheel failed me. If I can't get it to work I have a picture that pulls but, I lose things and, to make matters worse, I've had about 4 or 5 shutdowns where W10 tried to install the update but failed.

I'M PISSED AT YOU MOCKERS MOCOSOFT. I've tried several things and I came from a bug with The Witcher 3 that made me lose an hour.

      DAMNED HACKERS :wall:

Editing: Well, the sensor has been reinstalled and the steering wheel buttons have been reassigned. It wasn't that big of a deal.

I wonder how many thousands of amateur users are pulling their hair out right now :ugly:

In the wizard because there's a mod to mess with the console that would otherwise mess up my game. It wouldn't take me out of combat in a closed room where I had to jump and if you're in a fight instead of jumping you spin.

Check the network discovery and file sharing settings in the Network and Sharing Center.
Turning on the visibility of computers and files between computers on your local network makes it easier for them to connect automatically.

      Well, here's a prize for you ?
      That's it …

It also depends a lot on how the video is embedded on the web. You may not even need any program to do it.

Maybe if you search in the code of the page you can access the URL from where the video is linked. This can be achieved by accessing the code inspector from the browser (with F12 or by right-clicking and selecting "view page source") and searching for the video URL to run it in an independent window and do a "Save as…" to download the video.

      Best regards

      @Namiga:

A question about this... the boards I'm looking at.... the RAM support at 1866 is in all for OC...
      but how???

to get the ram to go to 1866 I have to do OC to the processor's whiskers??? or will it be a different multiplier from FSB to ram??

I have the ASRock > Z97 Extreme6 and Z97 is for OC… in the Bios you can put the speed you want on the RAM up to 3600Mhz (if my memory doesn't fail me) even though officially LGA1150 supports up to 1600Mhz... it does it by dividers with respect to the 100Mhz Bus.

On the one hand in the bios you select the speed (as I told you) and on the other you choose the XMP profile for the timings... otherwise it is possible that it won't start with timings on auto or set by hand since there are hundreds of thousands and it's a bit crazy.

What the board does is apply everything automatically, you don't have to touch FSB or dividers or anything... everything is very simple with the Z97... unless you touch the FSB, dividers and other stories but that's not your case.

I would go with the H81 and the memos I told you... it's not worth the Z97 for a non-K micro... unless you look for a specific feature from that chipset apart from OC.
