    Procesador, disipador y placa base llegaron en buen estado. PD. Al final me saqué un Seagate 7200.14 a 60 euros en un PCBox de la ciudad. La RAM tiene que llegar a lo largo de esta semana, ya que la pedí en Dr. Pc Ufffffffffffffffffff, espero que el difipador quepa en mi Cooler master 371 Elite, porque por lo que he medido, entra justisimo.

    Well, for the price, the whole package, it's pretty good. It's true that you would have to buy memory (their thing is a pack of three to take advantage of triple channel), but... for 200€ +/- you have a great upgrade for your computer. I recently got myself an i7 950 (110€) and I'm reusing the i7 920 in another motherboard that I had for the family PC. You really don't think that for everyday use (games, multimedia, office work) you're going to notice differences with a newer core i. In consumption, OC and pure performance (in a rendering and more work tasks with professional programs) there is more difference, that's clear and... the usual thing that with second-hand you always have fear if you get a lemon. However, if you feel more comfortable you can invest in something new, only that you will pay for it. You can easily go to around 260-300€, depending on what you buy, of course (speaking of new, maybe with second-hand you'll see something cheaper). Well, I think a 2500k second-hand would be very tempting, and they perform excellently. But as I said, it's a matter of seeing offers and analyzing it coldly according to needs.

    @ferelxyx:

    well no, stretch and buy a Corsair TX750W V2 power supply that is made by SEASONIC which is muuucho better

    regards

    +1

    Get a Corsair, they are efficient, quiet, powerful and have a long warranty.
    You won't regret it, I assure you. It's worth investing in this component, it's practically "the life" of the computer.

    Crucial has always been about quality memory, although they have been making budget memory for a while now (which is logical, expensive memory isn't worth it) but reliability isn't a problem even with cheap memory.

    @amd125:

    I'm glad it's already started. I remember once booting up my computer without the micro :ugly: and that happened to me, but I just didn't have it plugged in. You have to put the thermal paste carefully, maybe the heatsink already comes with it from the factory, and especially when you don't change it for a long time, be careful when removing the heatsink. More than one has fried a micro by leaving the paste so dry that it stayed stuck to the micro and when removing the heatsink, the micro started up and bent some pins. If you see that the computer doesn't even beep... well, you already know for next time ;D

    The computer you built for your colleague, don't expect him to play current games on that computer, but for office work it will be very good. I have an HTPC with an Atom and it works very well. Nowadays almost any micro is very decent for office work in general. Then for using certain programs, a Quad Core, a good graphics card or more RAM would be appreciated.

    thanks, I'll keep that in mind for next time, my colleague is very stupid, he wouldn't know how to start a game, that's facebook, tuenti and that to meet girls and little more jeje

    I've been reading comparisons between the Phenom, Athlon and Fx.Me and I opted for the Phenom as it's slightly superior to the Athlon. The Fx is more modern and probably better but if I'm going to use programs that only use one core (mononuclear) I've read that the Phenom is better than the Fx. The processor no longer gives me a headache:

    AMD HDZ965FBGMBOX - AMD AM3 Phenom II X4 965 Box CPU Processor, black - Amazon.es: AMD

    I might buy a proper cooler for it later and do some OC.

    Now the motherboard is what I want to resolver.Me I'm interested in having a motherboard with a USB 3.0 header to put it on the front of the Nox-NX3 case. Candidate and I look forward to your opinions:

    Asrock 970 Extreme4 AM3+ 90-MXGIP0-A0UAYZ Motherboard

    I can't find another one at this price that has an onboard USB 3.0 connector.

    I don't care so much about the RAM, as long as it's 8gb DDR3 at 1333 or 1600, I don't think there will be much complication.

    Maybe it's too late but you should try the EHCI hand-off option in the UEFI, which should be where the USBs are, possibly a device you connect via USB has incompatibility and disables it, put it enabled to see if it works for you.

    @Sylver:

    Aerocool wouldn't put it, today I don't trust them. NOX is not a bad option.
    I personally would put a Corsair TX650 V2, for me it has everything desirable: power, efficiency, silence, 5 years of direct warranty and all the recommended certificates. The only drawback I put is that it is not modular, although the same model exists in modular but more expensive.
    The power that would suit you is between 600W and 650W, if it is within that range don't worry.

    More brands that you can look at within good quality and efficiency: OCZ, Silverstone, Be Quiet…

    Regards

    Well according to what you tell me and seeing my budget I'm going to get the NOX NX Series 620W. A fixed component to the list.

    Thanks.

    @Kraist:

    Ok, then I'm clear that I'll get an asrock!

    The truth is that I've noticed that quite a few people here have an asrock, there must be a reason xd

    Regarding the graphics card, I'm still not entirely sure about buying a gtx680, I know it will last longer than the gtx660 but there's a minimum difference of 100€ and with that money and within a year, year and a half and another 100/150€, I could buy another mid-high range graphics card (a gtx760 for example) or even another gtx660 and set them up in SLI.
    Because 2 gtx660Ti would be equivalent to a gtx680 or a gtx690???

    Two 660ti are equivalent to more than a 680, anyway if you want Nvidia they are expensive, although depending on the model, the one that is cheapest is the Zotac and I'm not convinced by that dissipation for SLI and even less if the card doesn't have much separation between graphics.

    Maybe a 670 would be better and since it's not long until new cards come out, you could buy another one later on sale, for 1080 you'll be able to play well although some games won't run at full speed, it will run with good graphics quality.

    In two months I think there will be lots of second-hand 670s for sale and the new ones will also go down in price, the 660Ti although it has 2Gb of memory actually uses 1500mb, it's a bit of marketing the 2Gb thing, the 670 would use it since it has a 256-bit bus, in fact they should already start selling second-hand 670s given that it won't be long before the new series comes out.

    another option if you have a graphics card is to wait a month or two, build the computer and put in graphics cards with the new series that should come out in March it seems.

    To have 2 graphics cards attached, these models are usually better, although the 660Ti are also fresh but in SLI it will depend on the ventilation of the case.

    It sounds too strange… I've never seen a processor that works "halfway"...
    But anyway, if you fixed it I'm glad.

    The old i7 LGA1366 still wins by brute force, but the new generations of chips have new instructions and optimizations that improve their performance in demanding applications, like the ones you mentioned.

    Try to run a test with the programs you use most of the time, to determine if those optimizations surpass the power of the i7 and its TriChannel.

    Salu2!
